To me it means somethin that vegeta doesn't get an equal-to form to goku. In Buu saga, it ends with him never getting ssj3, and he admits Goku is the best, the better warrior. Because his' pride and stupid ways shouldn't be rewarded. Meanwhile in super he gets blue, and ultra ego, philosophically, opposes what Instinct stands for. He doesn't even deserve it. Ego is the enemy to martial arts. Clarity, humility, is the gateway to powers.
